Jo Hawkins Donovan is founder and president of Coaching Con Brio LLC, providing coaching and leadership development for entrepreneurs and high potential executives.
Jo’s advanced degrees are in Communication and Psychology. For six years she served on the faculty of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She was a full-time consultant for a federal job-readiness program in West Virginia, and in Wisconsin worked for several years in the insurance industry developing and presenting programs promoting charitable giving within estate planning.
Five years after starting her own business in Wisconsin, Jo received the Bank One Enterprise Award for Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur. Her drive to contribute to community results in active participation in many endeavors, including Professional Dimensions (past president), The Beaches Community Food Bank, Milwaukee Public Schools Principal Coach Training Program, and the arts. Jo’s monthly column on coaching is published in several business magazines and journals.
Jo works with the leadership of growing, energetic organizations where there is a commitment to professional development for every employee.
In 2004, Jo received the prestigious Sacagawea Award from Professional Dimensions, for her work in the development of leadership among women business owners and her years of trailblazing in service to the community.
Jo is a 1998 Coach University graduate. She earned a BA from the University of Florida, an MA from Marshall University and completed post-graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and the Adler Institute of Psychology. Recently she trained with Dr. Richard Johnson and earned certification as a Retirement Coach.
Jo is now living in Florida and helping small business owners achieve success in all economic environments.
